The humidifier is just a source for water to add to the incubator. The digital Humidity Control adds the water as needed to maintain the humidity that you desire. The humidifier is part of the Digital Humidity control. Depending on how you care for your humidifier it will last a year or many years. Use filtered water (or reverse osmosis water) for longest life. Wipe the humidifier with a clean cotton cloth after each use. Add a drop (just 1 drop) of Chlorine Bleach to the water to retard the growth of bacteria in the water tank.
Many customers just buy a new humidifier every year and use tapwater. It may be cheaper to buy a new humidifier than to buy distilled or filtered water. Comes with an adapter for a 1 3/8″ hose.
